After playing in his homeland, Medina made his first move to Europe in the summer of 2020, playing for Lens in France, and made his debut against Nice on 23 August.

Medina’s development has been rapid and steady, and he has become a key player in the Lens defence. In the 2022-23 season, Medina helped Lens become the best defender in the league, finishing second and qualifying for the Champions League.

Medina’s leadership, fighting spirit, strong personality and technical qualities make him a valuable player, able to play on the left wing with accurate passing and crossing, as well as playing in central defence.

September 20, 2023 Medina made his Champions League debut, a day that held doubly significant as it was also his 100th appearance in a Lens shirt.

Medina leaves Lens with 165 appearances, eight goals and 10 assists.

The 26-year-old defender played for Argentina against Colombia and coach Lionel Scaloni trusted him, using him in three of the last four World Cup qualifiers.
